Key event this year for the construction industry in the region

Second ACES conference "Future trends in the construction industry", held by ACES Central and South Balkans Center in Belgrade from October 30 to 31, 2025, confirmed its status as one of the most important events for the construction industry in the region.

Organized by the Serbian Association of Consulting Engineers (ACES), the conference brought together over 270 participants, 20 sponsors and more than 40 leading government officials - experts from various sectors of the construction industry.

Future trends in the construction industry - Conference 2025

The ACES conference brought together renowned representatives of the construction industry, donors, engineers, consultants and practitioners from regions that had been together as if to discuss key issues and develop modern construction practices. The conference represented a unique platform for exchanging practical experiences, presenting innovations and cooperation among leading companies in the construction sector, providing professionals with a single opportunity to see and study the best practices and current projects in the region.

The program was organized through six thematic sessions covering the most important issues in the construction industry. Participants discussed budget planning, management of consumer needs and risks, digitalization of processes and implementation of projects. Special attention was paid to mechanisms for overcoming obstacles through DAAB/ADR practices, as well as elements that ensure successful infrastructure projects - from quality documentation and contractor selection to ensuring adequate financing. The closing session was dedicated to innovations as a key driver for development in the construction industry.

The conference was opened by Bojan Dinić, Executive Director of ACES, and Branislav Simović, ACES Chairman, who highlighted the role of this regional event in the development of the construction industry. The groups included Ioana Dragan, EFCA President, and Alfred Ingletti, FIDIC Vice President, who additionally confirmed the importance of international cooperation, connecting professional standards.

The conference featured a comprehensive review of key structural issues and media. As one of the most regional events dedicated to improving construction industry practices. Through panels, presentations and practical examples, participants gained insight into current trends, innovations and concrete solutions that shape the future sector.

ACES as an organization is committed to the professional development and promotion of the best practices and building structural capacity in the region, and the 2025 conference further strengthens this effort to provide an important platform for dialogue, linking and promoting industry development.
